Anthony J. Laviola, age 87, of Bellevue, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Bellevue Hospital.
He was born May 29, 1926 in Bellevue, the son of the late Domenic & Catherine (Franchina) Laviola.
He married Marian (Serraino) Laviola on Sept. 1, 1951, she survives him in Bellevue.
Anthony served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific on LST 893. He was employed at Mosser Construction.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, American Legion Post 46, Masons Union #46, Fremont, the former Club-Amer-Ital, and graduated from Bellevue High School in 1944.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Jean L. Nead, Edina, Minn.; two sons, John Laviola of Bellevue and David (Luann) Laviola of New Albany, Ohio. Also three grandchildren; Erin Laviola, Cara Laviola, and Colin Laviola.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers: George, Frank, James, Joseph, and Nick; and a sister; Rose Faragi.
A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. officiated by Father Jonathan Wight at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow in Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
