CLYDE - Donald Nay, 84, of Fremont, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, at Countryside Continuing Care Center, in Fremont.

He was born July 28, 1928, in Venedocia, Ohio, the son of Francis and Edith (Geren) Nay.
Don served in the United States Army. He worked for the former Nickel Plate Railroad and also for Kelsey Hayes. He enjoyed trains, fishing, the Toledo Mud Hens, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Faye (Mooney) Nay, of Fremont; a son, Charles (Talya) Nay, of Washington; daughters, Colleen (Michael) Baur, of Bellevue, Gloria (Don) Mooney, of Fremont, Tina Hatcher, of Fremont, and Lori Nay, of Fremont; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Katherine Nay, of Spokane, Wash.; brothers, Larry Nay and Kenneth Nay, of Florida; and sister, Mary Allen, of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Nay, whom he married Oct. 28, 1948, she preceded him on Aug. 22, 1968; a son, Dennis Nay; great-grandson, Dylan Mooney; sisters, Louella Twardzik, Carol Mullins, Doris Rinker, and Charlene Feld; and brothers, Bob Nay, David Nay, and Jimmy Nay.
Friends will be received on Saturday, April 6, from 2 p.m. until a memorial service begins at 4 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde.
