Vincent R. Felker, 89, Bellevue, died at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013.
Mr. Felker was born in Bellevue on Dec. 10, 1923, to Harold and Rose (Landoll) Felker.
He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1941, the Tiffin Business University in 1943 and Heidelberg University in 1986.
Vince had worked at the Home Savings and Loan, now Industrial Savings and Loan, retiring in 1989. In his retirement, he worked at the Bellevue Library.
He was a W.W.II Army veteran.
His many memberships included, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he had formerly served as a Eucharistic minister to the ill and on the finance committee; a 4th Degree member Knights of Columbus; Past Commander of the American Legion; Past Commander of the Sandusky County American Legion; member of the Bellevue Eagles, Elks, VFW, and Historic Lyme Village.
On June 30, 1951, he married Rita Missler; she preceded him in death on June 14, 2008.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Felker, Bellevue; Mary Anne Felker (Bill Lambacher), Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and Marita (Chip), Emerson, The Woodlands, Texas. Two granddaughters, Maureen and Rose, also survive.
Visitation will be today (Tuesday, Nov. 26) from 4-7 p.m. at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. Eagle services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Rosary at 6:45 p.m., and Knights of Columbus rites at 7 p.m.
The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery with military rites provided by the American Legion, VFW and Four County Marines.
