Lucile H. Lemmerman, 100, Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born Jan. 11, 1914, the daughter of Joseph and Edna (Delemater) Smith.
Lucile was a graduate of New London High School and Bowling Green State University. She was a school teacher and homemaker. She enjoyed traveling and traveled to Europe, Italy, the Netherlands, Islands of the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and China. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, sewing, bird watching. She loved to bake and was still baking homemade cookies in her mid-nineties.
Lucile was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Norwalk; Firelands Historical Society, 4-H advisor, Quester's Antique Society, and Shelby AARP Organization.
She is survived by her son Michael (Janice) C. Todd, Bellevue, Ohio; daughter, Patricia S. Moffatt, Norwalk; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; brother-in law, Robert Todd, Huron, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Glendon C. Todd and Elmer Lemmerman; brothers, Richard Smith, Ralph Smith, and Norman Smith.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Brian Oglesby of First United Methodist Church, Norwalk, officiating. Burial will be private in Bellevue Cemetery.
