Charlotte Thompson, age 84, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Elkhart, Ind., the daughter of the late Dewey and Marie Elizabeth (Wallace) Weaver.
Charlotte was a long time office manager at Flat Rock Children's Home, retiring in 2009 after 40 years of service.
Her life was truly a testimony of her faith and was cherished by all who knew her. She was a member of the Bellevue Assembly of God, and volunteered at Fish and Loaves; she had a nursing home ministry and was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her children, Brent Thompson, of Sandusky, Debbie Lange, of Sandusky, Nancy Washburn, of Bellevue, Tim Thompson, of Bellevue, Craig (Diane) Thompson, of Mentor, Lou Anne (Gary) Shrewsbury, of Woodville, and Steve (Laura) Thompson, of Bellevue; grandchildren, Ali Lange, Kelly Zolman, Erica Washburn, Amy Walters, Nate Shrewsbury, Andy Shrewsbury, Zach Thompson, and Alex Thompson; step-grandchildren, Robbie Smith and Emily Coots; a great-grandson; Jackson Zolman; and step-great-grandsons, Kevin and Zack Coots.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Roger Washburn; and an infant grandson.
Friends will be received Friday, Aug. 23, from 6-9 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 7500 N. Co. Rd. 29, Flat Rock, Ohio. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Cemetery.
