Mrs. Mildred M. Welch, 89, of Bellevue, died on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at the Bellevue Care Center.
Mrs. Welch was born July 22, 1924, in Sandusky. She was a 1942 graduate of Sandusky High School. She had worked at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Venice, then at Erie County Credit Bureau prior to her retirement.
Mildred was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue. She enjoyed making counted cross stitch, bowling and golf.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen (Leonard) Bowers, Bellevue;and a son, Ronald Welch; three grandchildren, Jason (Marsha) Bowers; Amy (Jonathan) Hay; Ronald Welch Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Mallory and Mason Hay.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Welch, in 1991; her parents, John and Clara (Sheffel) Lang; step-father, George Hand; three brothers, Paul Lang, John Lang, Jim Hand; and two sisters, Dorothy Keown and Helen Behrendsen.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue.
The funeral will be on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Entombment will be in Oakland Mausoleum, Sandusky.
