WALLINGFORD - Robert J. Esposito Jr., 50, of Wallingford, beloved husband of Julie-Ann Riso Esposito, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Hartford Hospital.

Robert was born in New Haven, Sept. 9, 1963, a son of Pamela Grandel Esposito of Branford and the late Robert J. Esposito Sr. He was employed by Thornton's Oil Corporation for 20 years and more recently at Sears as a Retail Operations Manager, and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it was on their many vacations to Florida, or watching his son, Vincent, play soccer. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching football on his favorite couch. He would often say, "When you do good things, good things come to you."
In addition to his wife, Julie, he is survived by his children, Amanda Esposito, of North Haven, and her fiancé, Brian Williams; Andrea Esposito, of East Haven; and his son, Vincent Robert Esposito, of Wallingford; his brothers, Michael Esposito and his wife, Kim, of Westbrook; Mark Esposito, of Texas; and Christopher Esposito, of New Haven; his mother-in-law, Julie Ann Riso, of Wallingford; and several aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Tuesday, May 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 7, from The Wallingford Funeral Home at 9 a.m., when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
