WALLINGFORD - Warren Harlow, of Wallingford, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at Masonicare Health Center after a brief illness. He was 98. The son of Seth and Theresa (Crossett) Harlow of New Jersey, he was a veteran of World War II and in March of 1942, served on an U.S. Army base on the East Coast of Greenland. He worked for many years in construction and later for Allegheny Ludlum, retiring in 1981. He taught chair rushing at both Wallingford and Cheshire High Schools through the Adult Education Program. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Hilda Haskell Harlow, of Dexter, Maine.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Harlow Magill and her husband, Jim Magill, of Asheville, N.C.; his son, Raymond Warren Harlow and his wife, Jennifer Keogh, of Durham; and grandchildren, Andrew Finn, Connor and Hannah Magill, and Elizabeth, Emily, Christopher and Erin Harlow.
Funeral services are private at the wishes of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St.
