KENSINGTON - Theda (Barnes) Schribert, 84, of Kensington, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at home after a long illness. She was the widow of Frederick Schribert.

Born in Jacksonville, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Bidwell and Florence (Featherstone) Barnes. Theda was a graduate of New Britain High School, and worked as a computer operator at Aetna, Stanley Tool and Fenn Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Paul's Church and the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Theda is survived by her two sons, James Schribert, of Wethersfield, Daniel Schribert and his wife, Agnieszka, of East Berlin. She was predeceased by her brother, Bidwell B. Barnes, Jr.
A Mass of Christian burial took place at St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Burial was in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. The Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington were entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the CT Human Society, 701 Russell Road, Newinigton, CT 06111.
