Ross E. Thede, 77, of Brighton, passed away peacefully on Aug. 17, 2013. He was born July 8, 1936, in Boone, Iowa.

He worked for Strode Motors as a Service Manager and was an EMT for Platte Valley Volunteer Ambulance. He retired from Larimer County where he had been working in road maintenance.
Ross spent many years traveling around the United States with his wife of 35 years. He enjoyed race cars, fishing, traveling and camping. He was a member of the Brighton Elks Lodge #1586 and the American Legion Post #2002.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, of Brighton; daughters, Patty (Tim) Gowna, Kathy (Ron) Uzel; Ann Reuter, Debbie Thede and Deborah Sawyer; son, Brian Thede; three sisters, Chris, Hazel and Eileen of Boone, IA; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mae; five brothers, Roy, Robert, Arthur, Richard and John; five sisters, Roslyn, Ann, Marie, Joyce and Mary.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
