Dorothy Jacobucci, 99, passed away at her home April 13. Dorothy was born in Henderson to William and Ora Heebner in September 1918. Dorothy was a life long resident of the Brighton area.
In 1940, Dorothy married Victor Jacobucci, and they lived and farmed the family farm west of Brighton. She spent a great deal of her time raising her children and being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and family member. Dorothy was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church as well as the Altar and Rosary societies.
For many years, Dorothy dedicated herself to cleaning the church during the month of October in remembrance of her son. She loved playing golf, cards, dancing, her pets and decorating for the holidays.
Her husband; a son, Gary; as well as sisters; Elizabeth Harvey, Julia Herskind, Alice Gress and Edna Haselbush preceded her in death.
Survivors are daughters, Ora (Frank) Macri, amd Betty (Gary) Smith; grandsons, Tom and Chuck Mills, Toby and Josh Smith; daughter-in-law, Charlotte; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All will miss her.
The memorial service was April 27 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. A reception followed. .
In Dorothy's honor and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's name to TRU Hospice, 2726 W. 11th St. Road, Greeley 80634.
