Edna M. Gonzales, 83 of Brighton, passed away Nov. 28. She was born May 26, 1934, in Benton, Tennessee, to Edward and Alva L. (Herrin) Lockhart.  She attended public schools in Tennessee.  On April 4, 1964, she married Felix A. Gonzales in Montgomery, Tennessee.
Edna was a resident of Brighton since 1972. She worked briefly at Gibsons and Yellow Front stores.
Edna truly loved her trips "up the mountain" to Black Hawk.  She loved working in her gardens, growing vegetables and flowers and collecting yard ornaments.
Cooking for the holidays was another love, where an open chair was always at her table with plenty to eat.  Her life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie A. Sandoval and Lisa D. (Marty) Roberts, of Brighton; sons, John K. (Sheryl) Pensyl of Thornton, James E. (Lisette) Gonzales, Felix A Gonzales II and David L. Gonzales, of Brighton; sisters, Linda, Judy and Janet, of Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Dec. 4 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, staging area C. Memorial services followed at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, which handled the arrangements.
