Eduardo "Eddie" Jimenez, 74, of Fort Lupton, passed away Jan. 24, 2013. He was born Feb. 9, 1938, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Gilberto and Bernarda Jimenez.
He attended school at Eagle Pass High School and worked as a maintenance manager at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, Calif., and retired as foreman at Thompson Potato Co. in LaSalle. He married Juanita S. Hernandez Dec. 26, 1984, in Eagle Pass, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita; sisters, Margarita (Alejandro) Charles, of Fort Lupton, Anita (Luis) Flores, of Eagle Pass, Texas, and Dora (Antonio) Flores, of San Jose, Calif.; brother Gilberto (Alicia) Jimenez, of Brighton; sons, Eddie (Mary) Jimenez, Jr., of Brighton, Ricky Jimenez, of Eagle Pass, Texas, and Ernie (Casey) Jimenez, of San Jose, Calif.; daughters, Sonia (Guillermo) Gaytan, of Eagle Pass, Texas, Diana Jimenez, of Eagle Pass, Texas, Anna (Tommy) Castilleja, of Longomtn, Alma (Gustavo) Portillo, of Longmont, Cherrie (Eddie) Archuleta, of Longmont, and Rigolee (Leon) Jimenez, of Fort Lupton; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Amy Villareal, and a brother, Johnny Jimenez.
Private family viewing was Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Crossroads Church, 1115 First St., Fort Lupton. A celebration of life is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Crossroads Church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Friends and family invite you to return for a meal at Crossroads Church.
