Eugene R. Clermont, 76, of Fort Lupton, passed away March 31 in Brighton.
Eugene was born April 10, 1941, to Alfred and Nellie (Dudley) Clermont in Sterling. Eugene attended Brighton schools and joined The United States Marines in 1960.
He moved to Commerce City after his military service, worked as a carpenter doing side jobs for people and driving trucks. In 1975, he moved to Fort Lupton and worked for the city of Fort Collins, water supply and storage, department of cleaning, maintaining the water for city for 30 years.
He loved to fish and hunt in the Pagosa Springs area. He loved his dog, Bandit, riding his Harley and hunting for arrowheads. He loved working on old cars and trucks.
His father and mother; a brother, Alfred T. Clermont; and sisters Sandra T. (Don) Williams, preceded him in death. Survivors are Ellen (Joel) Kling; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special cousins, Ed and Calvin Clermont, survive him.
The funeral service was April 7 at the First Baptist Church of Hudson. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton handled the arrangements.
