Joy Beltz, 94, of Milliken, died Oct. 6, 2013, at her home. She was born March, 17, 1919, in Staples, Minn., to David and Jessie M. (Young) Quance. She attended school in Staples and earned an LPN degree in PeeWee Valley, Kentucky. She married to Cecil E. Beltz.

Joy lived in Bennett for the majority of her life where she helped operate the family farm. She also lived in Brighton for five years; for the last 10 years she lived in Milliken. She loved caring for her grandchildren, cooking and baking, making cinnamon rolls and raisin bread for church activities, family and friends.
A member of the Brighton Seventh Day Adventist Church, Joy was a very devout, faithful lady who enjoyed reading her bible, praying and visiting with those in need.
Joy is survived by her daughters, Judy (Rodney) Bieber, of Johnstown, Cecile (Bob) Whitlock, Stephanie (Dennis) Reed, both of Milliken, and Melanie (Terry) Alten, of Brighton; son, Stan (Janet), of Milliken; brother Arthur (Carol) Quance, of Gettysburg, S.D.; sister Arvada Quance, of Rumford, Maine; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, in 1980; and brothers, Glenn, Harvey and Merle.
Memorial Service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Brighton.
