Linda S. Nudd, 62, of Brighton, passed away Jan. 17, 2013, at her home. She was born Oct. 3, 1950, in Denver, to Donald and Lillis (Bower) Swanberg. She graduated from Ranum High School in 1968 and later married Michael Nudd on Feb. 21, 1970, in Denver.

She lived in Brighton since 1979 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She also enjoyed her Bible studies in her home.
Linda was a surrogate mother for many around town and was active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and loved cooking Italian meals. She was also active in volunteering in the schools.
Linda is survived by her mother, Lillis Swanberg, of Thornton; husband, Mike Nudd, of Brighton; daughers, Jennifer (Ralph) Bolyard, of Brighton; three sons, Pat (Rachel) Nudd, of Cedar, Minn., Dan Nudd, of Denver, and Mick (Kelly) Nudd, of Parker; two sisters, Nancy (Don) Zimmeran and Terri (Jerry) Tangeman, both of Westminster; brother, Don (Allison) Swanberg, of Arvada; 12 grandchildren, Cy, Zack, Jessey, Emma, Mackenzie, Lynsdie, Elsie-Irie, Zach, Caitlynn, Peyton, Drew and Cooper. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church in Brighton.
