Maxine Elsie Wagner, 88, of Brighton, passed away July 24.  She was born March 22, 1929, in Brighton, to Emil and Elsie (Dittmer) Ehlen.  She graduated from Brighton High School in 1947 and married Henry Wagner Feb. 16, 1949, in Brighton.
Maxine was born and raised in Brighton and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hudson.  She helped operate the family farm east of Brighton and worked for a time at Great Western Sugar Factory, Strode Motors, Hottman Chevrolet and 1stBank of Brighton. 
She was a very hardworking individual but enjoyed keeping the road in front of her home cleaned up.  In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes, playing cards and arrowhead hunting.  Maxine also enjoyed golfing with the Riverdale Women's Group and participated in the Senior Special Olympics
She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, of Brighton; two children, David (Cathy) Wagner, of Orchard, and Patsy Wagner, of Brighton; a granddaughter, Laurie Haffner; and two great-granddaughters, Samantha and Sarah.
Her parents and one sister, Marcia, preceded her in death.
The funeral service was July 28 at Grace Lutheran Church in Hudson.  Interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery.
