James Donald Mabry, 85, of Conway, passed from this life on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012.
Don was born in Montgomery City, Mo., on Aug. 28, 1927. He was a son to the late Grover and Cornelia (Worland) Mabry. Mr. Mabry was a graduate of the University of Missouri, at Columbia, where he obtained a degree in Forestry. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. While living in Crossett, he was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Crossett.
In 1974, he moved his family to Conway and became an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to garden and be outdoors. He was an avid quail, duck and pheasant hunter. Mr. Mabry was an expert at woodworking and antique furniture restoration.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Lewis Mabry.
Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Annette Mabry-Williams (Russ) of Conway and Laura Diane Sergeant (Edward) of Little Rock.
The family would like to thank Catherine Henson, Debra Boyd and Martha Caudel for the many years of excellent care given to Mr. Mabry during his illness.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway, with Msgr. John F. O'Donnell officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
The Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Center.

Laura, Ed and Family: God Bless you and your family at this time of loss! Obviously, your father was a great man by his service to our country, our Catholic faith and his family. Your father was very proud of you because of the wonderful person you are and your devotion to our Catholic faith. !! May he Rest in Peace!!!
