Starr, Lawrence Eldon - Conway  
Lawrence Eldon Starr 72, of Conway, Arkansas went to be reunited with God and his mother and father Friday, June 17, 2016. He was born August 26, 1943 at Mt. Vernon, Arkansas to Eldon Cecil and Carrie Cynthia (Rickett) Starr. Lawrence was a very humorous man who could do or build anything. He was a graduate of Conway High School and attended UCA. He was a graduate of Capitol City Business College. He was in the Arkansas Army National Guard. Lawrence was a building contractor for 40 years in Conway. He was a member of University Church of Christ. He served as a District 5 Justice of the Peace for many years in Faulkner County. He was a member of the Roark Deer Camp. He loved to hunt and fish with his sons and grandchildren. He also loved to cook Bar-b-que chicken for his family. He also loved to spend time with his friends at the donut shop. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathryn Starr, sons, Scott Starr and granddaughter, Leighana Starr, and Steve and Jennifer Starr and grandsons, Tyler and Blake Starr, three sisters, Carma and Al Allison, Margaret and Vince Elentri, and Brenda and Pat Griffith. A special thank you to Dr. Randall Bolin, Dr. Mary Jo Shaver, and the nursing staff at Conway Regional Hospital for their wonderful care and to St. Vincent Hospital doctors and nursing staff of Little Rock for their loving care. Pallbearers: Fred Langford, Ronnie Beene, Jim Roper, James Dockins, Greek Miller, and Robert Bryant. Honorary Pallbearers: Rick Edwards, Paul Edwards, Steve Edwards, Linn Rickett, Charles Rickett, and Bob Morris. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday, June 21, 2016 and Funeral Service 1:00pm Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Conway, Arkansas with Brother Jim Bob Baker officiating. Turner, Kyle Jordan - Denver  
Kyle Jordan Turner 34, of Denver, Colorado passed from this life June 18, 2016. Kyle was born Wednesday, December 2, 1981 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from Greenbrier High School in 2000 and University of Central Arkansas in 2007. His sense of humor, loyalty and kindness will forever be missed by the many who loved him. He was preceded in death by his papa, Merle Engdahl; Aunt, Melanie Crawford; and cousin, Charity Engdahl. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Kip and Sonja Turner; sisters, Katie, Hayley and Erin; nephew, Cooper Hunt; uncles and aunts, Joe and Charlotte Engdahl, Jerry and Rose Engdahl, R.D. and Jennifer Hopper and Wayne Crawford; grandparents, Paul and Dorothy Turner and Loretta Hill and many dear friends and cousins. Cook Beck, Donna Renee - Conway  
Donna Renee Cook Beck age 29, of Conway, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 9, 2016, she was born July 28, 1986 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a beautiful Rhay of sunshine that everyone loved to see. Now Renee is an angel rejoicing in heaven, watching over her family. She was a strong beautiful woman so full of life. She made friends where ever she went and everyone loved her as much as she loved. She loved music and played the violin in the Conway High orchestra. Renee loved spending time with her family and friends, she will be missed by all who knew her. Renee is survived by daughters, Autumn and Hannah Beck; her parents, Shirley and Dan Hafner of Conway; her bonus brothers, Tadd and Justin Hafner; her half-sisters, Angie Hardy, Sasha Barnett and Britney Adamson. Renee was preceded in death by her grandparents Doris and Junior Cook; one bonus sister Ronda Hafner. She leaves behind numerous family and friends. Memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Monday, June 20, 2016 at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home Greenbrier, Arkansas with Bro. Ron Riddle officiating. Plankenhorn, Roger  
Roger Plankenhorn, beloved family man, respected professional and generous friend and neighbor passed away on June 7, 2016 at age 71. Roger was born February 18, 1945 in Lansing, MI to parents Richard and Virgene Plankenhorn, who predeceased him. He graduated from South Haven, MI High School and continued his studies at Michigan State University, where he was a member of the Marching Band. It was there that he met his wife, Marlene Madou. They were wed June 17, 1967. Roger enjoyed a long and productive career as a financial officer. He was Controller at the BASF Corporation, West Memphis at the time of his passing. He also served CIBA and FMC Automative Division. International in scope, his work took him to such sites as Ireland, France, Canada and Germany. A gourmet chef and wine connoisseur, Roger was an active member of the Evergreen Historic District Association. The grand scent and flavor of his famous grilled corn on the cob, often roasted before a mist fan on blazing August Neighborhood Night Outs, will linger long in the memory of his neighbors, as will the savory hams he provided at the Christmas and brunch festivities he hosted with his wife. Survivors include wife Marlene, daughter Heather, a Registered Nurse in Little Rock, Arkansas and son Kurt and daughter in law Laurel, chefs in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He also leaves niece Melissa Zoltoski and her sons Curt(CJ), Aaron and Cameron, whom Roger loved and cared for as his own grandchildren. Other survivors are sisters Sharron Plankenhorn of Marquette, Michigan and Linda Schellhas of Falling Waters, Virginia and brother Gary Plankenhorn of South Haven, Michigan. Services will occur later in Michigan. Anyone wishing to memorialize Roger are asked by the family for donations to the Arkansas Children's Hospital Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Little Rock, or the Out of the Woods Animal Rescue of Arkansas.

Boyd, Marie D. "Bookie" - Boyd  
Marie D "Bookie" Boyd, 85 went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2016 in Conway, AR. Born 11-06-1930 in Ft Myers, FL, Marie was preceded in death by her sisters Alice Strickland and Lora Mae Sams, her brother WT Denington, her parents Reverend William E and Lovie Marie Denington. Marie is survived by her daughter and son in law Karen and Tony Bruckner of Conway. Marie's love of teaching spanned more than 40 years in the public school system, after her retirement she volunteered at St Joseph in Conway for several years. As a lifelong teacher it is only fitting that Marie decided to have her body donated to medical science. Marie's family would like to thank the staff of Salem Place Nursing Home for their kindness and care. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday June 18, 2016 at the Fellowship Café of Conway's First Baptist Church located at Robinson and Davis Street. Memorials may be made to the library at Conway's First Baptist Church or the Faulkner County Library so that others can enjoy Marie's favorite hobby.

Bright Jr., Raymond "Buddy" - Russellville  
Raymond "Buddy" Bright Jr., 64, of Russellville, died suddenly, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born September 15, 1951 in Conway to Raymond Sr. and Kathleen McNeill Bright. He graduated from Conway High School where he was an All-State football player. After graduation he went to UCA on football scholarships. He was a member of Atkins First Free Will Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, loved to hunt and fish and was a part of the Williams Hunting Club. Buddy loved to farm, rodeo and was a national champion steer wrestler. He was the owner of Bright Heating and Air. Above all, family was the most important; he was a family man. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Brad Bright. Survivors include his wife, Susie Bright; a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Tosha Bright; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Austin Culwell; his other mother, Doretta Bright; his mother-in-law, Dortha Detrick; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Judy Bright, Brooks and Kathy Bright; three sister and brothers-in-law, Sandy and Derek Benefield, Cindy and Chris Ussery and Kay Dalton and four grandchildren, Kaden Huffman, Jaren Huffman, Levi Bright and Kaylee Culwell. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Atkins First Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Leah Faye Vann Browder, 33, of Conway died on June 14, 2016. Leah was born on Tuesday, November 30, 1982 in Conway, Arkansas. She was a loving and devoted mother, daughter and sister. Dickens, Wayne - Mayflower  
Wayne Dickens, 59, of Owasso, OK. formerly of Mayflower, AR. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 11th. Wayne was born December 26, 1956 in Alameda, CA to Betty and Jerrell Dickens. Wayne retired from American Airlines and was currently working for Home Depot. He was a Master Mason of the Green Grove Lodge #107. Wayne was a member of the Mayflower Fire Department from 1981 to 1989 and Vice President of the Owasso Band Patrons. He loved to hunt and fish. Wayne is survived by his wife, June Dickens, sons, B.J. Dickens of Boston Massachusetts and Dalton Dickens of Owasso OK. daughter, Holly Dickens of Owasso, OK. Mother and Father, Betty and Jerrell Dickens of Mayflower, sister, Gail Dickens Erwin and husband Doug of Cabot, three nephews, one niece, and many other beloved family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday June 15th at Mayflower First Baptist Church, with Bro. Terry Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery.
