Bradford, Ernestine - Bee Branch  
Ernestine Bradford 89, of Bee Branch, Ark., passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014. She was born April 02, 1925, at Damascus, Ark., to Henry Luther and Mary Ann (Duncan) Lee. She was a member of the Mount Zion General Baptist Church at Morganton Community. She loved her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved her Shetland Ponies for the grandchildren. She enjoyed working at the Poultry Processing Plant Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Floyd B. Bradford. She is survived by her two sons, Carroll Bradford and wife Jody of Bee Branch, Ark., and Gordon Bradford and wife Kathy of Greers Ferry, Ark.; four grandchildren, Michael Bradford, Chad Bradford, Matthew Bradford, and Clay Bradford; eight great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Erma Cunningham of Ill., Marie Fletcher of Jacksonville, Ark., and Johnny Stalter of Cabot, Ark.; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Pallbearers: Michael Bradford, Chad Bradford, Matthew Bradford, Clay Bradford, Trae Bradford, Wade Bradford, Logan Bradford and Jake Reynolds. Honorary Pallbearers: Boston Zin Bradford and Zach Bradford. A special thank you to the nursing staff of Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care of our mother. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., and funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton, Ark., with Pastor Jim French officiating. Permenter, John Edward - Vilonia  
John Edward Permenter, 84, of Vilonia, passed away Dec. 14, 2014. He was born Jan. 22, 1930, in Quitman, Ark., to the late Shadrick Owen Permenter and Mary Lee Hill Permenter. John was a longtime member of Mars Hill Church of Christ in Vilonia, where he was active and involved. John loved his family very much, and enjoyed spending time with his many grandkids. John loved to laugh and was full of joy. He enjoyed telling and hearing jokes, which added to his kind personality. As said by many, John was never heard saying a bad or unkind word about anything or anybody. He also enjoyed traveling and had the joy of traveling to many different places throughout the country. John had a love for the outdoors, where he spent time camping and fishing. John was a steel worker and retired from Northwestern Steel in Sterling, Ill. after 30 years of service. In his retirement, John always stayed busy. He had a great love for woodworking and was a skilled craftsman. He spent much of his time in his shop, where he made furniture and other wood crafts. John was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Robie Popham Permenter; one son, Johnny Lee Permenter (Erlinda) of Edmond, Okla.; one daughter, Deborah Lynn Permenter, of Rock Falls, Ill.; two sisters, Sue Spradlin of Quitman, Ark., and Patsy Burgess (Jack) of Greenbrier; two brothers, Owen Permenter of Heber Springs, and Fred Permenter (Dorthy) of Salem, Ark.; three stepdaughters, Tish Cartwright (Jerry) of Vilonia, Vonda Compton (Randy) of Conway, and Sherry Shircliff (Tom) of Sherwood; one stepson, Sam Popham (Tami) of Conway, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Pastor David Riley officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. Mary's cemetery in Rose Bud, Ark. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Smith, Michael Webb, James Gibson, Richard Permenter, Gary Permenter and Jack Burgess. Sievers, Elwyn "Chief" - Knoxville  
Elwyn "Chief" Sievers, age 84, formerly of Mayflower, Ark., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home in Knoxville, Tenn. He was born in Granville, Wis., the son of the late Martin and Dorothy Sievers. He was a Retired Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army, who served his country in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a past president of Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing Service in Memphis, Tenn., and a member of the Conway Evening Lions Club. He was a lifelong bowler and a member of the Conway Bowlers Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 45 years, Lena M. (Tharp) Sievers. Chief is survived and will be greatly missed by his children, Ginger Schaedtler, Lovilla Foote, and Walter Schmidt; sister, Lovilla "Lolly" Horn; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service with military honors at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, at East Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery on John Sevier Highway, in Knoxville, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mid-South Sight and Hearing Service in Memphis, Tenn.

Stephens, John Harold - Mayflower  
John Harold Stephens, 82, of Mayflower, passed away Dec. 12, 2014. He was born June 27, 1932, to the late Roy and Lilly Stephens. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Robert, Gene, and Billy Joe Stephens. John was the owner and operator of John Stephens Trucking for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Desslea Stephens; daughter, Jane Cook (Dennis) of Conway; grandchildren, John Cook, Denise Cook and Jennifer Cook; great-grandchildren, Katie Martin and Chelsea Cook; sisters, Lemay Friddle of California, Alice Friddle of Arkansas, Marilyn Sue Stephens of Arkansas and Carolyn Hambright; brother, Romie Stephens, of Arkansas; and many loving nieces, nephews and other members and friends. Sutton, Caroline Mary (Andrus) - Conway  
Caroline Mary Andrus Sutton, 71, of Conway, Ark., died on Nov. 23, 2014, at the Baptist Health Extended Care Hospital in Little Rock. She was born Sept. 24, 1943 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin to the late James and Catherine Andrus. She was married to the late James Dombek. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas and worked as a registered nurse at Conway Memorial Hospital, Conway Human Development Center, and Arkansas State Hospital. Caroline had an infectious smile and laugh, was a great conversationalist, and loved to walk outdoors, read, and watch old movies with friends. She was follower of Jesus Christ, most recently attending St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Conway and living out her faith in a life full of kindness, compassion, and support in the faith for her family, friends, and others. Her home was a refuge for family and friends. She is survived by son, Eric Dombek, and his wife Susan; son, Franklin Dombek; grandchildren, Dalena Dombek, Katherine Dombek, Carrie Dombek, and Allison Dombek; her sister, Donna Fencl, and her husband, Eugene; her brother, James Andrus; nephew, Michael Fencl, and his wife Sue and son Jason; niece, Kathleen Jensen, and her husband Greg and daughter, Tara Creamer; nephew, Steven Fencl, and his wife Beth and daughter, Nicole Zwiers, and son Ryan; nephew, James Fencl, and his wife, Laura; daughters, Becky Riedel and Andrea; her dear friends, Sherry Edwards and Tommy Hoffman, and her beloved pet dachshund and devoted companion, Danny Boy.
