Gweneth Faye Hermes

Gweneth Faye Hermes, 80, of Jacksonville, Ark., passed from this life on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.
Born in Formosa, Ark., she was a daughter to James Elmer and Mamie (Harris) Merryman.
Gwen will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who loved animals.
Faye had worked at Tommy's Restaurant, Kimberly Clark Corp., Care Link and AFEX Exchange. Faye was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post 4548, and a member of Little Rock Air Force Base Chapel. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Elton Hermes; children: Dianna Fason of Conway, David Hermes of Jacksonville and Mark Hermes (Jennifer), also of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three foster children, Susan Ford Hollis, Jean Ford and Allen Ford; and numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Sammy Hermes; a sister, Lula Mae McElyea; and a brother, Dewayne Merryman.
Services will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Chaplain Randall Jamison, Shawn Fason and Frank Fason officiating.
Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, with Christopher Franco, Conner Fason, James Ford, James Herring, Jeff Griggs and Tristan Hermes serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the funeral home.
