Sgt. Zachary James Mize, age 26, of Bel Air, Md., formerly of Conway, Ark., passed away March 26, 2013.
He was born Oct. 25, 1986, in Little Rock, Ark.
Sgt. Mize had recently completed two tours of duty in Afghanistan for the US Army stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.
He is survived by wife and son, Nichole and Jaxon Mize; parents, Danette Mize Blackwell (Kirby) and Jim Mize (Dana) of Conway; stepsister, Leslie Waller of Texarkana, Ark.; grandparents, Dylis Jenkins, Martha and Hershel Tennyson and Howard and Pat Mize, all of Conway.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Second Baptist Church, 701 Polk St., Conway, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, a UTMA (Uniform Transfer Minor Account) has been set up for Sgt. Mize's son, Jaxon. Please make donations payable to Jaxon Mize, 208 Crocker Dr. #A, Bel Air, MD 21014.
