Alvie "A. J." McCorkle, 80, of Conway, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013.
He was born on Saturday, Sept. 24, 1932, in Tyronza, Ark., to the late James Henry and Virgie Lee (Young) McCorkle.
He was a very devout Christian, who loved his church and family. He loved visiting with family, friends, and everyone.
He is survived by his sisters, Shirley Aultman (Herman) and Joyce Thorn (Danny); brothers, Harvey McCorkle (Wanda) and Al McCorkle (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Stane; and a brother, Ed McCorkle.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, with Pastor Randy Long officiating.
Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway, with Charles Grigsby, Russell Talley, Wayne Aultman, Michael Aultman, Rodney Cook, and Scott Lucas serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held an hour before service on Tuesday.
