Edward T. Chambers, 87, of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Saturday, April 27, 2013.

Born in Pelly, Texas, he was a son to the late William Henry and Syvilla Bell (Pierce) Chambers.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
Mr. Chambers was a Navy Veteran, having served in the Pacific during WWII. He retired from Gulf Oil Corporation.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Amanda Chambers; sons, Edward Thomas Chambers, Jr. and wife Jan of Kennesaw, Ga., and Ronald Chambers and wife Joyce of Juneau, Alaska; daughters: Elieen Faye Durham and husband Craig of Baker, La., and Linda Kaye Jones and husband Tommy of Mt. Pleasant, Ark.; a sister, Joyce Lockridge and husband Curtis of Henderson, Texas; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Three siblings preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30th, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1st, at the funeral home, with Bro. Danny Smith officiating.
Interment will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 3rd, at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston, Texas.
Honorary pallbearers are Edward Chambers, Jr., Ronald Chambers, Scott Jones, Jack Chambers, Craig Durham, Austin Fischer and Ron Chambers.
