Evelyn Marie Cook, 65, of Conway, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
She was born on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1948, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late Frankie David and Jewell Reba Lee (Jordan) Brock.
"Nana" loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them. She was a firm believer in her Lord. She was a very helpful and caring person. She always prayed and recited Bible verses. She was an excellent motivator and had a positive outlook on life.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Cook of Conway; two granddaughters, Katie Martin (Darren) of Carlisle, and Chelsea Cook of Conway; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Destiny Martin, and Trace Martin of Carlisle; sister, Patricia Bennett; and two brothers, Walter Brock and Paul Brock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Stella Metcalf, Helen Massey, and Judy Bane; and two brothers, Eddie Brock and Lonnie Brock.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.
Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, with David Massey, Darren Martin, James Holder, J. R. Holder, Alex Maldonado, and Matthew Brock.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013.
