Jerome Rhine, 61, of Mayflower, departed this life April 11, 2013.
He was born on June 29, 1951, to the late Iva Lee Davie (Acklin) and James Rhine in Mayflower.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Doris Marie Jordan, Willie Lee, Ray, Malvin, Betty, Annette, Pat, and Louise Rhine.
He was employed as a driver by the City of Little Rock Wastewater for 18 years. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as Chief Usher for the church and the Middlewestern District. Jerome also served his country in the United States Army.
Jerome is survived by his wife, Yolanda Kirby Rhine; one son, Malachi Kirby, Mayflower; three daughters, MaKayla Kirby of Mayflower, Tyran Brown of West Memphis, Ark., and Monique Rhine of Little Rock; one brother, Raymond Dale Ryan of Conway; four sisters, Vanessa Bryant of Mayflower, Earlene (Ghulam) Malik of Kansas City, Mo., Lisa Clemente and Sharon (Carl) Ricks, both of Conway; one granddaughter, Kamaya Sampson, Little Rock; and a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services 11 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 795 Hwy. 365, Mayflower.
Interment Palarm Cemetery.
Visitation 6-7 p.m. Friday at the church.
