Joe Kirby Bailey, 84, went to Heaven from Hospice House in Mountain Home on Sunday, April 21st, 2013.
He was born to Joe W. Bailey and Sarah Ellen Kirby Bailey Aug. 23, 1928, in Greenbrier, Ark.
Joe Bailey was a kind, humble Christian man who was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He loved to share his faith in Jesus Christ at every opportunity.
He married Barbara Weaver, the love of his life, in Amarillo, Texas, on June 3, 1950.
Joe Bailey was a founder of the Weaver-Bailey Concrete Companies of North Little Rock, Ark. He retired to Mountain Home in 1987. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church and served on the Pastor's Council.
He leaves here, Barbara, of their home; a daughter, Susan (Kenny) Cole of Vilonia; two sons, Sam (Annette) Bailey and Kirby (Eva) Bailey of Cotter; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, O.D. Bailey of Oklahoma City; and a sister, Alma Lois Emison of Vilonia.
Funeral services for Joe Kirby Bailey will be on Wednesday, April 24th, at 2 p.m. at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with visitation at 1 p.m., with Dr. Sam Bailey, Pastor David Bailey and Pastor Gary Stevens officiating.
Graveside services will be held at the Vilonia Cemetery on Thursday, April 25, at 1 p.m., with Benjamin Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Joseph Bailey, Ryan Sims, Joey Bailey, Caleb Bailey and Kasey Cole as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob and Cole Flowers.
Memorials may be made to the Twin Lakes Baptist Church Hope Center Fund.
