Jonathan Keith Anthony, 69, of Texarkana, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 19th, 2016 while doing what he loved- fishing.
Keith was born February 22, 1947 in Conway, Arkansas. He was a retired teacher after 40 yea rs of working in the Texarkana Arkansas School District. He attended First Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon. He was an avid fisherman and bowler for many years and he volunteered with the Texarkana Downtown Community Garden and the Arkansas High Football Team. He is preceded in death by his father, E.N. Anthony. He is survived by his wife, Betty Anthony of Texarkana, AR, his mother, Lena Merle Anthony of Conway, Arkansas, one son and daughter in law- Jonathan and Lisa Anthony of Rowlett, Texas, one daughter and son in law- Erin and George McCasland of Texarkana, Texas, one sister and brother in law- Shirley and Phillip Lipsmeyer of Conway, Arkansas, four grandchildren- Kaleigh, Sydney, and Jonathan Robert Anthony, and Claire McCasland, and a number of nieces and nephews. ·
A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, 516 Pecan Street, Texarkana, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Texarkana, Arkansas or the Texarkana Downtown Community Garden, in care of First Methodist Church, Texarkana , Arkansas.
