Katherine "Katie" Maloney, 96, of Conway, passed from this earth on June 30, 2013.

Formerly of Dayton, Ohio, Katie was born on her parents farm May 27, 1917, in West Milton, Ohio.
She is survived by her little brother, Joe Sute' of Englewood, Ohio; a son, Tom Barlow and wife Pennie of Conway; a daughter, Marlene Thompson of Boston, Ind.; Grandson, Steve Barlow and wife Nikki of Conway; granddaughters, Janessa Barlow Berry and husband Andrew of Bryant, Donna Sue Firth of Springfield, Ohio, and Cheryl Wright of Boston, Ind. Other survivors include her great-grandchildren, Lukas Pate, Locklan, Leven and Lyric Berry; as well as 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Katie enjoyed taking care of her husbands, sewing, and ball room dancing. She also loved cooking and in fact the recipe for her famous cabbage rolls was published in a family cookbook. Katie was also thrilled at any new addition to her family.
Preceding her in death are husband, Thomas R. Barlow, Sr.; husband, Howard Maloney; her sisters, Mary and Anna; and brother, Mike; grandson, Scott Barlow of Conway; and granddaughter, Amber Thompson; plus many other relatives and friends.
There will be a memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, St. Joseph Chapel.
