W.K. Bivens, 88, of Vilonia, died on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 12, 1925, in Guy, Ark., to the late Ernest Bryan Bivens and Mabel (Trawick) Bivens.
W.K. was the former Mayor of Vilonia. He was also known for his gardening and especially for his tomato patch, which many enjoyed the fruits of his efforts.
He is survived by his two sons, Jerry W. Bivens and wife Barbara of Vilonia and Richard Lynn Bivens of Conway; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and his special dog Sandy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 67 years, Emma Bivens; son, David W. Bivens of Seattle, Wash.; and daughter, Debra K. Bivens of the home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
The family would like to especially thank Arkansas Hospice for all their wonderful care and concern.
