Denise Marie Copeland, 55, of Conway, passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on May 30, 1957, in Clovis, Calif., to the late Virgil and Dee Davenport. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister. Denise graduated from Harding University with a degree in Art. She loved her time studying in Italy and living in France. Denise was a talented artist, beautiful singer, and avid reader. She enjoyed traveling, collecting children's books, and compiling family recipes. She worked at UCA scheduling student center events. She was an active member of the Church of Christ. Denise will always be remembered for her warm smile and remarkable wit.
Denise is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jud Copeland of Conway; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Kameron Vick of Conway; brother and wife, Dean and Cleta Davenport of Indio, Calif.; and brother and wife, Dennis and Kathy Davenport of Monroe, La.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at UAMS Medical Center and Conway Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for their dedicated care and support.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Steve Norris officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the
