Lessie Moss, a long-time resident of Damascus, Ark., died Friday, the 19th of April, 2013, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Thornton, Colo.
Born July 3, 1926, in Carbon Hill, Ala., Lessie moved to Arkansas in 1962 and worked at Hendrix College for 38 years.
Lessie loved good food, socializing, shopping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Moss; daughters, Donna Smith and Barbara Enos; son, Michael Moss; sister, Anne Tidwell; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ada Barton; sisters, Jewell Barton and Dessie Moore; and son, James Moss, Jr.
Memorial gifts may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation in lieu of flowers.
DeWitt and Tabler Funeral Directors, Thornton, Colo., have been entrusted with arrangements.
Lessie will be laid to rest in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo., on Friday, April 26, 2013.
