Shannon M. Cotton, 94, of Greenbrier, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013.

He was born June 9, 1919, in Greenbrier, to the late Robert W. Cotton and Elizabeth Sawrie Cotton.
He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, an Army veteran of WWII and spent nine months in a German Prisoner of War Camp. He was a retired equipment operator with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.
He is survived by his son, Melton (Clara) Cotton of Greenbrier; two daughters, Karen (late husband Larry) Hairston of Conway and Cloedean (Gary) Scroggins of Greenbrier; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death on Aug. 12, 2013, by his wife of 75 years Ruby Reynolds Cotton; and his two sisters, Gerelia Reynolds and Faye Higdon.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Greenbrier, with burial in Republican Cemetery, with Bro. Myron Milholland and Bro. Danny Fagala officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
