SALINAS Antonio Gomez Pichardo Antonio Gomez Pichardo, 69, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at his home. He was born June 5, 1945, in Zacatecas, Mexico. He previously worked at Bud Antle for more than 20 years. Antonio is survived by his sisters, Paula Gomez Balderas, Juana P. Gomez, Irma Mejia, and Raquel Padilla; brother, Jesus Gomez; and mother, Juana Gomez, along with other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anastasia Gomez; and sisters, Maria Elena and Maria Aurilio Gomez. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, with a Rosary vigil at 7 p.m., all at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 424 Towt St., Salinas, CA 93905. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas, CA 93901. Arrangements are entrusted to the Healey Mortuary & Crematory, www.healeymortuary.com

Provencio Jr., Felix A.  
Felix A. Provencio, Jr. SALINAS "Our Hero, Go with God..." Felix A. Provencio, Jr., 80, of Salinas, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. He valiantly fought the battle of complications from Myasthenia Gravis and Diabetes. He was born in Mesilla, N.M. on Feb. 7, 1934, to Felix and Josephine Provencio (both deceased). Felix was an honorable man and had proudly served his country and retired as U.S. Army MSGT-E8. He had two tours of duty in South Korea, Germany and Italy. He was a graduate of Gonzales High School, class of 1953. He married the "Love of His Life", Mary Ruby Santana, at the St. Mary Catholic Church of Salinas on June 17, 1956. Felix is survived by his daughters, Sonya (William) Pottoff of Boulder, CO, Elizabeth (William) Provencio-Marr of Annapolis, MD; son, Felix Provencio III of Salinas; brother, Robert Provencio of Hanford; brother-in-law, Tim Santana of Santa Paula; grandsons, John and Anthony Castaneda and Felix Provencio IV; granddaughters, Danielle Castaneda, Alycia Aguilar, Shanoa Garcia, Valerie and Christina Provencio; great-grandson, Felix Provencio IV; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, with a Rosary vigil at 6 p.m., all at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA 93905. A Celebration of Felix's Life to take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at the Healey Mortuary Chapel.
