Agata "Tina" Mazzarino

Agata "Tina" Mazzarino, 94, of San Pedro, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013. She was born August 20, 1918, in Naples, Italy.

Tina came to the United States in 1939 with her husband Attilio, and eventually settling in Van Nuys where together they owned and operated a restaurant. In 1980 they retired and moved to Salinas. While living in Salinas, Tina was an active member of the Italian Catholic Federation, Sons of Italy and the Madonna Del Sasso chapter of Saint Vincent de Paul Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband Attilio, son John and granddaughter Jennifer.

Tina is survived by her daughters, Millie (Robert) House, Marie (Dennis) Nelson; son Vito (Jeannette); daughter-in-law Paula; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass was held at Mary Star of the Sea Church in San Pedro and interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Salinas.
