Albert "Ray" Hall
Albert "Ray" Hall, 75, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 27, 2013, with his family by his side after a long illness. He was born December 15, 1937 in Lawton, OK, to Eva and William Hall.
They moved to California when Ray was young. He graduated from Salinas Union High School in 1956. He attended Hartnell College for one year before joining the Navy. Once out of the Navy, he worked in the hardwood flooring business. Ray married Joyce Rush in 1960. At the time of his passing, they had been married for 52 years. Ray was hired by the Salinas City Fire Department in 1966, and retired as Lieutenant in 1978, due to an industrial injury. Ray's hobbies included camping, fishing, hunting, bowling and wood-working. Throughout his life, he always had at least one dog. However, his grandchildren were the light of his life and he spoiled them rotten.
Ray is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Kimberly Rae Kemp and Ray Brian Hall; grandchildren, Nicole Marie and Anthony James "A.J" Kemp, all of Salinas; brother, Bill (Terry) Hall of Jamestown, and sister-in-law, La Quida (Marvin) Minor of Tuolumne; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
At his request, cremation has taken place.
