After Barry graduated from high school, he worked at Clyde Iron works as a machinist and he also graduated from Electronic Technical School in Duluth, MN.
He then went to and graduated from the Los Fresnos TX US Border Patrol Academy. After intensive training in the Spanish language he then joined the U.S. Border Patrol as an agent in 1970. Barry really loved playing with his grandchildren. He was a talented storyteller and we miss his interesting and amusing stories.
Other interests of his include his two lovable cats, watching hockey, biking and hiking. He had a cat, Benjamin, that was his constant companion, who would lie on his lap when Barry was watching television and never strayed far from him. After Barry passed away, Benjamin grew listless and died shortly after in Janice's arms.
