Billy Joe "Bill "Randolph
Bill was born in Mineral Wells Texas on April 11, 1946 to Lavesa Beechem and Robert Randolph. He passed away on November 12, 2013, at the age of 67 at the Regional Medical Facility in San Jose.
At the age of 4, he moved with his mother to Amarillo, Texas and attended the local schools, graduating from George Washington Carver Junior and Senior High School with the class of 1964. He served in the United States Navy
from 1964 to 1966 with a tour of duty in Viet Nam. Upon discharge from the Navy lived in Los Angeles and Alhambra. He worked for Southern California Edison in Rosemead from 1967 to 1993 as a Client Services Representative, Materials Clerk, Purchasing Coordinator, and Advertising Materials Clerk. He established his own business as a Book Scout and retired in 1994. Bill moved to Soledad in 2004 and later moved to Greenfield in 2007.
Bill enjoyed photography and collecting gadgets. One of his prized possessions was his 1967 Mercury Cougar that always traveled with him and still sits in front of his apartment. Bill was a member and active participant in the following organizations: Commander- American Legion Post 635 Greenfield, Amateur Radio Club, Lions Club of Greenfield and Veterans of Foreign War Post 8679 Seaside
He was preceded in death by his mother, his brother, Travis and sister, Cathy.
Bill is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jheri; his sisters, Patricia Holt-Mandeville of Vacaville, Debra-Jones House and Cynthia Jones of Amarillo, Texas; Judy Jones (Alan) of Salinas; Brothers, Walter J. Jones (Brenda) of Amarillo, Texas; Arven Jones of Salinas; aunts, and a host of nieces, grand nieces, nephews, grand nephews, cousins and friends,
The Memorial Service for Bill will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Greenfield Veterans Memorial Building, 615 El Camino Real, Greenfield.
