Catherine Agnes Rauch
Catherine Agnes Bernard Rauch, 94, of Sacramento, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013, in Sacramento. She was born July 16, 1918, in Harahan, LA.
Catherine was one of eight children born to Amilcar and Catherine Bernard. The family moved to Salinas in the 1930's where she graduated from Salinas High School and then Hartnell Junior College.
Catherine met her husband, George J Rauch and married in 1943. They had four children, George, Annette, Christopher, and Eric.
She worked for Salinas Chamber of Commerce for 20 years, and was the Executive Assistant to the Director Monterey County for 20 to 25 years.
Catherine was a member of Sacred Heart and Madonna Del Sasso Church and volunteered at the Steinbeck House. She was also a member and leader of the Catholic Daughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George J in 1966; son, George B; son, Eric, and dear companion of 20 years, Norman Borchert.
Catherine is survived by her sister, Mildred of Monterey; daughter, Annette Rauch Black (Don) of Sacramento; son, Christopher Rauch (Lillian) of Trophy Club, TX; grandchildren, Doreen Rauch of Sacramento, Erika Black of Sacramento, Jennifer Rauch of Trophy Club, TX and Aaron Rauch of Olympia, WA; great-grandchildren, Brody Rauch of Olympia, Scarlett Kerr of Trophy Club, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907. Internment will follow.
