Isabel J. Valdez (Martinez)
Isabel J. Valdez (Martinez), 83, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, surrounded by family at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. She was born July 8, 1929, in Jalisco, Mexico and had been a resident of Monterey County since the early 1970's.
Isabel enjoyed shopping, fishing, gardening, and singing to the Lord with her fellow church members. Her passion was her family; she was always a support to anyone in need. She was a long time member of First Apostolic Church Tabernacle of Faith in Soledad.
She is survived by her husband, Benito Valdez of Greenfield; 10 children, Nona (Alfonso) Medina of Los Banos, Juanita (Jaime) Martinez of Greenfield, Maria Elena (Rogelio) Lozano of Greenfield, Antonio (Rosie) Martinez of Soledad, Ruben (Lupe) Martinez of Greenfield, Ludy Martinez of Holtville, Mario Martinez of Greenfield, Maribel Martinez of Greenfield, Juan (Carmen) Martinez of Greenfield, Morena (Adolfo) Quintanilla of Texas; 34 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Eduardo Martinez, Julio Martinez, Juan De Dios Martinez; and granddaughters, Jeannette and Yvette Martinez.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10 a.m., at First Apostolic Church Tabernacle of Faith, 1648 Monterey St., Soledad; followed with Burial at Greenfield Holy Trinity Cemetery, Elm Ave. & 10th St., Greenfield.
