Kiyono "Kay" Ishizuki LeMaster, 90, of Salinas, died peacefully Tuesday, November 20, 2012, while in the hearts and minds of her loving family at Natividad Medical Center.
She was born January 24, 1922, in Japan. She was the daughter of Seizo Ishizuki and Yoshino Shimakura, sister of Mitsuko Sukahara, Yoshie Tsusaki, Takuzo Ishizuki, Kazuo Ishizuki, Tatsuji Ishizuki, and mother of Yoshihisa Nagai. She later married United States Army MSG John Stanley LeMaster, Jr. with whom she had a son, John Michael LeMaster. She and her family lived in several locations around the globe until settling in Salinas, where she lived the remainder of her years as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Kiyono was a Deacon and very active member of Lincoln Avenue Presbyterian Church. She now joins her loving spouse in death. She is survived by her son, Michael; her granddaughter, Angela Linda LeMaster Kong, and her great-grandsons, Kailer Marcello and Koby Michael Kong.
A celebration of Kiyono's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Lincoln Avenue Presbyterian Church. The service will be officiated by Reverend George Doyal, a reception will follow.
Kiyono will be laid to rest at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum in a private ceremony prior to the memorial.
