Lupe Lopez Arballo
Lupe Lopez Arballo, 83, a longtime resident of Salinas, passed away peacefully Friday, October 26, 2012 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, in the presence of her family.
Lupe was a loving mother, nana, tia, sister, nina and friend to all. She loved to cook, was known for her salsa, burritos, beans, macoroni salad, and tamales. She was an avid Giants fan, and loved to watch her sports on TV and her Novelas. She guided her family with culture, values, and unconditional love. Always had a smile on her face, besito, and hugs. Lupe will truly be missed by all of us.
Lupe will join her husband, Octaviano Arballo and daughter, Lupe Arballo-Rivera.
Survived by her two daughters, Clara (Paul "Sonny") Chacon of Salinas and Frances (Richard) Mota of Salinas; seven grandchildren, Lenore (Daniel) Guzman, Steven (Cheri) Rivera, Maria (Bill) Collins, Paul III (Grace) Chacon, Anthony (Jonessa) Rivera, Monique Mota, and Joseph (Rachel) Mota; 14 great-grandchildren, Paul IV, Peter, Marc, Mekhi, Serena, Ciana, Clarissa, Amaia, Maija, Alena, Esaiah, Mia, Noah and Chancellor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 from 1 to 5 p.m., with the Rosary to follow at 6 p.m., at Healey Mortuary Chapel, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas CA 93905.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 1 p.m., at Madonna Del Sasso, 320 East Laurel Drive, Salinas CA 93906.
Burial to follow services at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas CA 93907.
