Moses Galbiso

Moses Galbiso, of Salinas, California passed away peacefully on June 26, 2013 in his home, surrounded by his family.

Born in Hilo, Hawaii, February 3, 1924, to Crispin Naldoza Galbiso and Rosa Mular, he was the second eldest of five children. Growing up in the small town of Waialua, Hawaii, he became a graduate of Waialua High School. Soon after, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he spent a large majority of time playing for the Naval Orchestra.

Moses was preceded in death by his adoring wife, Josie Galbiso, and son, Anthony (Dela Cruz) Galbiso.

He is survived by his 7 sons, Chris (Debbie) Galbiso, Garry Galbiso, Jerry (Viola) Galbiso, Barry Galbiso, Darren Galbiso, Daryl Dolotina, and Darren Dolotina; 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Robert "Koy" (Winona) Galbiso.

Visitation will be held, Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA.

A Celebration of his Life will be held, Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Salinas Storm House, 185 Maryal Drive, Salinas, CA.
