Allana M. Phillips

Allana "Lanee" M. Phillips, 66, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2013, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Livermore and grew up in Hollister. She had resided in Salinas since 1997.

In the years before her illness, she worked for the Register-Pajaronian newspaper in Watsonville and later, the Monterey County Herald. She loved animals, especially horses. She volunteered at the Monterey County SPCA and was always willing to donate her time to charitable causes and events. She was also a certified Master Gardener and amateur photographer. What she loved most was spending time with her friends and family.

Lanee is survived by her husband, Dennis A. Phillips of Salinas and her sons, Devon Rawn of Clovis and Chad Kunsman of Dublin. She also had two grandchildren.

A celebration of Lanee's life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
