Anore M. Antazo Obituary

Anoré M. Antazo

Anoré Munsell Antazo, 68, lifelong resident of Salinas, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013. She was born at home to Simeon Vital Antazo and Lela Pearl Antazo and was sister to Simeon "Zim" Munsell Antazo and Lela Munsell Antazo, loving auntie to Alex Simeon Antazo and Nicholas Jay Antazo, and dedicated Godmother to many.

Anoré worked many years for Monterey County Social Services and also for 35 years at P&O Cold Logistics, earning her longed for retirement in 2010.

Anoré lived her life as she wanted, spending time with family, extended family, and friends, enjoying a good meal, and always laughing. She gave of herself until she could give no more. Her health kept her housebound for many months until she traveled to peace on her own special "Independence Day".

Anoré is survived by her sister, Lela; and sisters embraced by the Antazo's, Leslie Kelly Banks, Marie Barrera, Cathey Swanson and Tenchie Antazo; her dear nephews, Alex and Nick and all of her beloved Godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother, and will be laid to rest at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, later at a private ceremony.

To celebrate her life, a luncheon will be held in the Rodeo Room at the Salinas Sports Complex on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.

Since diabetes and complications of her heart ended her life too early, the family wishes contributions to related charities in her name in lieu of flowers, if you so choose.
