Betty Kelly Adcock

Betty passed away at 87 years of age on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, in Salinas. She had lived the last three years of her life at her daughter's home in King City. She was born May 19, 1926 in Salinas, to Grace Trusdale Kelly and Arthur Elmer Kelly.
Betty attended local schools, graduating from Salinas High with the class of 1944. Soon after graduation, she met a young Marine, "Johnnie", who had just returned home at the end of World War II. Betty and John Phillip Adcock married in 1946. They were married for 55 years until Johnnie's death in 2000.
The union of John and Betty resulted in the births of two daughters; Kellieann McClaran of Glide, OR and Carol Anthony of King City.
Grandchildren from Kellieann are Alicia McClaran Garcia of Salinas and Alex (Toni) McClaran of Bend, OR. Grandchildren from Carol are Matt (Roselyn) Anthony of King City and Paul (Trina) Anthony of Lockwood. Betty's family also includes 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her best, lifelong friend, Adelaide "Butch" Kerns of Salinas. Her beloved four legged friend, "Muggins" the beagle, died recently at the age of 12.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
