G. Dale Lemmon

G. Dale Lemmon, 78, of Salinas, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He was born April 9, 1934, in Walnut Grove, MO.

Dale and Frances moved from Springfield, MO to Salinas in 1968 to pursue a career as an Insurance Agent for Farmers Insurance from 1969 to 1990.

He was a former Deacon, and was a member of CrossRoads Christian Church, formerly First Christian Church, in Salinas. Dale enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling to Missouri, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Golden Lemmon, of Walnut Grove, MO; his brothers, Gene Junior Lemmon of Walnut Grove, MO; Ralph Lemmon of El Paso, TX; and Fred Lemmon of Bakersfield; niece, Debbie Lemmon of Mountain Grove, MO; sister-in-law, Dixie Lemmon of Walnut Grove, MO; and brother-in-law, Jack McDonald of Randleman, N.C.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances Lemmon; their children, Jerry (Debbie) Lemmon, Patty (Charlie) Eddings, Greg (Adrienne) Lemmon, and Chris (Andrea) Lemmon; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) McVay, Jason (Katy) Lemmon, Shaun and Shayn Eddings, Justin, Jarret and Jackson Lemmon and Christian and Mia Lemmon; four great-grandchildren, Brayden and Haylee McVay, and Makayla and Grace Lemmon, all of Salinas; sister, Helen McDonald of Randleman, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Frances Lemmon of El Paso, TX, Joan Lemmon-Bonny of Bakersfield; and nine nieces and two nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., at CrossRoads Christian Church, 1035 Rogge Road, Salinas, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to CrossRoads Christian Church, Building fund.
