James Dale Edgar
James Dale Edgar, 70, of Salinas, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013. He was born June 2, 1943, in Arkansas shortly before moving to Salinas.
James was an amazing man, husband and father. While he loved fishing, woodworking, and football, his world revolved around his family. He coached youth football leagues for many years, rarely missing any of his children's games or important school events.
James was a hard worker, retiring from PG&E after more than 35 years of service as a troubleman.
Since the recent passing of his loving wife of 50 years, Judy Edgar, his health continued to deteriorate. While his family grieves for his loss from their lives, they take comfort in the fact that he is reunited with the Lord, with Judy right by his side.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ward of Sparks, NV; his son, Jarrett Edgar (Shelley); and his daughter, Janine Schurman (Ty) of Salinas. He is also survived by his six grandchildren whom he loved so dearly.
A private, family burial will take place at a future date. The family will unite James and Judy in a place that has held special meaning for the family for four generations, with decades of fond memories, love and laughter.
