Joyce L. Kaupanger
Joyce Loretta Kaupanger, 78, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on December 22, 2012 in Salinas. She was born on March 25, 1934 in Superior, AZ. Joyce loved God was a practicing Minister for over 40 years, in which she thoroughly enjoyed ministering to children through her puppeteering and ventriloquisim. Her hobbies of interest were reading as well as traveling.
She is survived by her loving husband, Norman Kaupanger of Salinas; her son, John Stephen Kaupanger of Arlington, VA; brothers, Eldon (Audrey) Richey of Sacramento and Delon (Carolyn) Richey of Yuba City; granddaughter, Jennifer, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melville and Evie Richey; her son, Nathan Ray Kaupanger in 1993 and her two brothers, Charles and Melville Richey, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1pm at the Cypress Community Church located at 681 Monterey/Salinas Hwy Salinas, CA 93908.
