Kylie Leann Casada
Kylie Leann Casada passed away peacefully Monday, March 18, 2013, from a courageous two year battle with a brain tumor at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco, which was two days after her 9th birthday, that was celebrated with her twin sister and family by her bedside. She was born March 16, 2004, in Salinas.
Kylie was a third grader at University Park Elementary School. She enjoyed playing with her dog Lily, making bead bracelets for family and friends, writing stories and spending time with her siblings.
Kylie leaves behind her father, Bryan Casada of Salinas; her mother, Misty Thompson of Salinas; and her four siblings, Aaron, Clay, Bailey and her twin sister, Carlie Casada, all of Salinas. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Carlene Casada of Moss Landing and maternal grandmother, Darlene Thompson of Salinas; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 from 1 to 9 p.m., at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905.
A Funeral service will take place Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2 p.m., at the Healey Mortuary Chapel.
Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas, CA 93901.
