Vallente, Jr.

Vincent "Vince" Joseph Vallente, Jr., 44, lifelong resident of Salinas and former resident of Stockton and San Antonio, TX, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, in Salinas. He was born March 8, 1969, in Salinas.

He graduated from North Salinas High, and had attended Hartnell College and Cabrillo College. He was previously employed at Natividad Medical Center, Salinas Valley Memorial, and was most recently self-employed as a Tile Laborer.

Vince especially enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, playing poker, watching boxing, and also enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers.

Vince is survived by his loving wife, Michele Galope-Vallente of Salinas; sons, Vincent Joseph Vallente III of Daly City, and Brendan Peter Vallente of Salinas; parents, the late Vicente T. Vallente and Carmen Wilkinson Critchfield of Idaho; in-laws, Victor A. Galope and Myla B. Galope, Art Sabiniano and Regina E. Sabiniano, Bernardina B. Lomanta; brothers, Raymond Bisnar of Napa, Clifford and sister-in-law, Karen Vallente of San Antonio, TX; Ike Gabriel of Nashville, TN, Jeff and Rena Vallente of Stockton, Simeon and Adelisa Lomanta of Stockton and Henry Gabriel of San Francisco; sisters, Dina Lomanta of Stockton, Justiniana Vallente, and Alexzandra Critchfield, both of the Philippines; sisters-in-law, Melissa Galope, Suzette Galope-Garcia, Edna Galope-Guzman, Merlinda Galope-Cazarez, Janet Galope-Stoltz, Cyrene Urquidez-Galope, Audrey Galope-Canez, Nina Galope, Camille Galope, Vicky Galope and Ashley Galope; brothers-in-law, Michael Galope, Richard G.E. Galope, Victor John Galope Jr., Walter James Galope, and Jaime Duarte; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other loving relatives also survive.

He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Paul Gordon Wilkinson and Amada Mantua Wilkinson; and paternal grandparents, Miguel Vallente and Justiana Tumabang Vallente.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013, from 5 to 9 p.m., with a Rosary Recital at 7 p.m., all at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905.

A Celebration Mass will take place Friday, July 26, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 22 Stone St., Salinas, CA 93901. Cremation to follow services.
